The Peel Irish Cultural Society was established in 1990 with the objectives of fostering the development of Irish Culture and supporting the dancers of the Grant School of Irish Dancing. In 2007 the Grant School Preliminary Championship and Open Championship dancers joined the BFOC School of Irish Dancing upon the retirement of Brian Grant. The Peel Irish Cultural Society continued to support dancers that stayed with Mrs. Grant and also the dancers that moved to BFOC as well as beginning to become involved with the BFOC parents as well. The implementation of a comprehensive schedule and expected implementation of a dress exchange site are two examples of how PICS has started to help the new school.
